Fix our Roads!

The state of many roads in the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire are terrible.

In some areas, driving around can be so bumpy that it feels like being on a safari! Couple this with the damage done to vehicles, which costs motorists and businesses thousands of pounds a year, and we believe the state of our roads is totally unacceptable.

Years of underinvestment by the ruling Conservatives on Gloucestershire County Council means there is a backlog of road repairs of well over £80 million. The annual budget for road maintenance is around £30million.
