Juliet Layton

Councillor for South Cerney Village Ward

Juliet has lived with her family in South Cerney for over 20 years. After initially renting a house they quickly realised South Cerney was the place to provide their boys with a good education and a place to call home.

The village welcomed them and they embraced the many opportunities on offer. Juliet is a founder member of “The Digger Uppers” allotments, “Singing for Fun” and a member of the Street Fair Committee.

She is a familiar face around the village and has been the District Councillor for South Cerney since 2011.

Her priorities are:

  • Provide genuinely affordable homes without compromising our green fields and open spaces
  • Improve local roads and verges - the District Council should be helping Highways with minor road repairs
  • Protecting and enhancing bus services - connecting our villages and market towns, to help tackle social isolation
