Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for the Cotswolds seeks guarantee from MP.

Mike Collins, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, has raised concerns after a newspaper article quoted Geoffrey Clifton-Brown as saying there was a question mark over the funding of the rail scheme.

Mike said "I have a real problem with this. Geoffrey Clifton-Brown has for sometime been saying he supported this scheme and that it was good for the area. After jumping on the bandwagon when news was received that there would be funds available, following a campaign by other Gloucestershire MP's, he seems to have changed his tune by now being much more cautious about the scheme being fully funded and going ahead."

"Will he give me and the people of The Cotswolds a cast iron guarantee that a future Conservative government will support and fully fund this project?"

The Liberal Democrats both in the Cotswolds and other parts of Gloucestershire will continue to fight to ensure that this line is redoubled as soon as possible for everyone's benefit.
