Cotswold Liberal Democrats raised more than £800 at a Summer Fair at the Victoria Hall in Bourton-on-the-Water. This annual event has become a regular fixture in the party's calendar.

"Unlike the Tories who get millions from big business, and the Labour Party who are backed by large trade union donations, the Liberal Democrats have to raise every penny we spend ourselves," said Parliamentary candidate Roger Brown.

In addition to the sale's backbone of second-hand books, the event also provided refreshments, bric-a-brac and a tombola. Additionally local residents expressed much interest in the Plastic Recycling Petition.

The next regular Book Fair will be on Saturday 1st November, also at the Victoria Hall (10am to 4pm).
