The Winning Trio

A winning trio in the Cotswold constituency celebrated council poll success. Peter Clarke (Water Park), June Cordwell (Wotton) and Paul Hemming (Kingswood) were centre of attention at a party in their honour.

The three winning Liberal Democrats met at a party in South Cerney hosted by Anne Clark to celebrate successes in recent elections. They were Peter Clarke (left), who defeated the Conservative in a by-election in the Water Park Ward, June Cordwell, who sent the Conservative packing at Wotton-Under-Edge, and Paul Hemming, who retained his Kingswood seat. As Peter Clarke declared: "The recent elections showed the Tory recovery in Gloucestershire to be pretty fragile."
