The Cotswolds always looks beautiful in snowy and wintery conditions but as the snow turns to ice on our roads and pavements in many areas it's like being on one big ice rink.
When it comes to ice clearance and gritting many rural areas and housing estates are forgotten, this is despite the Conservatives who run the County Council promising an extra £150million for our roads.
As a result many elderly and vulnerable are trapped in their homes to avoid slipping and many rural communities are isolated.
We're calling on the Conservative-run County Council to do more to clear ice and snow from our roads and pavements and to grit more roads in our area.
We the undersigned call on Gloucestershire County Council to do more to clear ice and snow from our roads and increase the number of roads that are gritted in the Cotswolds.
